The challenge in my career has many faces. Though painting and illustration comes natural, I found that the illustrations I did back in the 80's are not going to work today. So it is important to keep my own style but adapt to the changes of our culture. This is very different from studio arts.

For example, package design is purely commercial. One might call me a news and media junkie, but I have also found the best way to see an end result is to work part time in retail. It has been invaluable to look at new packaging, see how it looks on the shelves amongst other brands and actually be down in the trenches to see the reaction and deciding factor, the consumer.

Don Juan. This project was a rare and rich few months of my life and I gave it my all. Commissioned and read by Peter Gallagher, he lives in Melbourne Australia, but our hearts and heads were connected every day to create his audio book.

"I have nothing but praise for her creativity (her color sense, her drafting including a strong sense of anatomy and the modelling of human form, great skill with foreshortening and perspective and a wicked sense of humor), positive attitude, hard work, patience, thoughtfulness, adaptability to different illustration styles and willingness to work in a demanding environment (Adobe Illustrator). As you can probably tell, I love what she has done for me and strongly recommend her work to you."

"It’s been amazing working with Lynette. She works quickly, endlessly and is a perfectionist in every way. I started off with an idea…to develop 4 original digital murals for a restaurant and I ended up with a four master pieces which more than met my expectation… and complete blew away my client and his customers. I highly recommend her for any job you might consider. I personally look forward to working with her again and again. Thanks a million, Lynette for all your hard work"

I especially like working with clients abroad. I like learning about their country, customs and preferences in Art. Here are some more.......

This was a request from China. A company that makes tomato seed oil wanted help with a gift container. I have not done a lot of package design, but I enjoyed the project and learned a lot!

Hi Lynette,

How are you? Hope you are doing well.
Our product is into the market now. It sells good before Chinese new year. Everything goes well. Our friends like the package, we are very proud of it :-) I attacked the photo to you. Hope you like it too.

Best regard
Charlene

The following card ideas were created for an African print/fabric designer based in London. She wanted to offer a variety of cards to her favorite clients. I truly enjoyed working with her and learning about her craft. We were both very pleased with the results.

Christmas "I highly recommend Lynette Yencho. It has been a real pleasure working with her. Lynette is a very talented artist. This project was time-sensitive and the work that Lynette produced for us in just 10 days was excellent. Thank you, Lynette. I look forward to working with you again in the future!"—Uju Obi
